June 19-26 | TOUR de FRANCE CLIMBS – French Alps $5700.00
ONE location: Le Bourg D’Oisans at the base of Alpe D’Huez.
Pick up / Drop Off: Grenoble
With Topbikes ‘Climbs of the Tour de France’ we ride the Alps, east of Grenoble (nearly into Italy), for days of pointing our bikes up many of the Le Tour’s grand climbs, all of which appear regularly in the big event.
We’ll have the chance to climb the passes of Col du Glandon, Col de Telegraphe, Galibier, Alpe d’Huez, Col de Sarenne, Les Deux Alpes, Pass de Confession, Col du Ornon, Col de la Morte, along with the balcony rides of Notre Dame, La Garde and La Berarde.
Eight days/seven nights all in the one location = unpack just the once. We’ll be staying in a modern day renovated farmhouse, visiting a variety of local restaurants on the valley floor, surrounded by mountains.
July 14 -21 | ITALIAN ALPS / LAKESIDE | $5800.00
TWO locations:
Pick up / Drop Off: Brescia
With Topbike’s Italian Alps / Lago Iseo we venture north from Brescia, high into the Adamello-Presanella Alps, tackling the classic climbs of the Giro d’Italia – Stelvio, Gavia and Mortirolo.
Needing a break after this we drop back down to Lago Iseo where we can ride undulating hills of the Franciacorta wine district and the lesser known but challenging climbs of Polaveno and Passo San Zeno (used in the 2024 Giro).
During our tour the ‘real tour’ will be on the Telly, expect the Italian commentators to be fairly bland unless one of their own is likely to win a stage!
This Tour will challenge the legs for the first three days and after that the lakeside rides will feel like recovery!
September 2-10 | CLASSIC ITALIAN CLIMBS (PDC) | $7200.00
*SOLD OUT/Fully Booked*
FOUR Locations:
Pick up / Drop-Off: Brescia to Brescia (Or Venice Drop-Off)
With Topbike’s Italian Climbs we venture north from Brescia, high into the Dolomites, pointing our bikes up many of the classic climbs of Italy, all of which appear regularly in the Giro d’Italia.
We start this tour gently, lakeside (Lago Iseo) in the Franciacorta wine district. Next, we move up into the Adamello-Presanella Alps, where we can tackle the classics of Mortirolo, Gavia (twice, if you like) and Stelvio. We then head Eastwards into the heart of the Dolomites: Arabba, where we will ride the Sella Ronda loop and the Marmolada. Riding out of Arabba, with a long downhill, we’ll leave the Dolomites behind and head towards Treviso for our last night in the foothills, north of Venice.
This Tour is a climbing Tour and after a lakeside warm up, each day you will gain at least 1500 vertical on the bike.
September 15-23 | CLASSIC ITALIAN CLIMBS (Main) | $7200.00

September 27-October 4 | Tour of Tuscan Apennines | $5700.00
ONE Location: Pracchia, Tuscany
Pick up / Drop-Off:
With Topbike’s Tuscan Apennines tour we explore the lesser-known Tuscany, and neighbouring Emilia Romagna by bike. This is not the Tuscany from the Gladiator or about which Frances Mayes writes about. Rather, we are in wooded forests of the Apennine mountains passing small villages and climbing on roads with few cars.
We start this tour each day from the small hamlet of Pracchia, a popular mountain retreat for the well-todo folks of Florence and Bologna in the 1920s. Somewhat forgotten today, it is the perfect quiet place to base ourselves for a week to cycle. We stay at the local hotel and focus on the serious business of mountain climbing, river valley rolling and whizzing down hills.
Each ride is a loop which covers different terrain and scenery. Some days are harder than others, with long climbs up to ski villages and hilltops used in the Giro d’Italia. Others are cruisier, following the steady grades along valleys. Every day includes some climbing. This tour is not for the untrained.
