Skippy report:

Boy, I've got some work to do here with 12 skips in the peloton. Our best was Burt (Brett) Lancaster, who came in in 6th place, not too shabby, considering many were going for the win today. Cadel is about 9 seconds behind Wiggins, which is ok, all the others finished. After Richie Porte started, there were too many french riders on the course for him to get any camera action, but he finished as 3rd skip. Matty Lloyd, from my own cycling club, St Kilda, came in 3rd last, but he's a climber anyway, so nothing to worry about. Repeat after me, all together now 'It's a long way to Paris'.

Can Australia win the Tour de France?

Seatbelt report from the 90’s

Back in the late 90’s I spent a summer in a small town, just south of Rome, Lenola, for those who need this sort of info. Which is all irrelevant to this little story, so I’ll get back on track. The family of a friend of mine owned an old Fiat ‘town car’, never garaged, dints in every panel, rarely washed or filled to full. The front CV joints complained loudly if the steering wheel was pulled more than 45’ off straight ahead, and you would think twice before getting in, if you were sporting a clean white shirt. You know the type of car I mean.
